EXPANDING TOWARDS NEW HORIZONS...

The Beginning

The history of our foundry began in 1992, established as the result of the strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit of Mr. Armando Poma, a member of FARMA’s founding family. With the acquisition of Zamasystem – a company specialised in zamak die casting – a new business unit was established with a clear goal: to supply FARMA’s automotive division with superior quality components, that met the demanding standards of the market.

In 1998, to support this growth, the in-house tooling department was inaugurated, dedicated to the design and construction of moulds. This strategic choice marked the first step towards vertical integration and full control of the supply chain.

New markets and intelligent automation

Over time, the foundry has evolved, expanding into new target markets. Today we supply zamak components for different sectors: automotive, door and window systems, medical, food, and more. The opening to new markets has allowed us to acquire cross-functional skills, develop solid know-how, and invest in advanced technologies.

We have introduced a melting furnace for the recovery of zamak by-products, strengthening our commitment to environmental sustainability. We have also implemented smart automation solutions, such as the integration of an anthropomorphic robotic station, to boost our productivity and efficiency.

Our future plans

In 2014, with the establishment of the department dedicated to plastic moulding, our offer has expanded: today, we are also able to make particular zamak-plastic overmouldings and assembled components, offering complete and customised solutions.

Now as then, we look to the future, focusing on continuous improvement and integration of production control. Our history is one of evolution, driven by expertise, vision, and the ability to anticipate customers’ needs.
